Storytelling has always been a big part of Daniel’s life. When one grows up in a household of 12 children born in a span of less than 16 years, there are a million stories to tell. A love of John Wayne westerns inspired by his father, and for Perry Mason mysteries fed by his mother, an upbringing in Sunday School, and his rabid interest in sports helped him develop an appreciation and affinity for a compelling story. Daniel first started telling his stories in high school, writing for the school newspaper and performing in plays. An avid passion for sports—especially baseball and his beloved Cubs—had him wanting to chase a sports broadcasting dream. After a sensing a divine call to ministry during his junior year of high school, Daniel shifted direction. Now his story telling focused on the great stories and characters of the bible. As a senior, he won national championship awards for in “Illustrative Storytelling” and for “One Act Play.”
